1. How do I search for a book?
Look in the Library Catalogue, at IGC Library Database or at IGC Laboratory Libraries.
2. How do I search for a book by Laboratory?
Type in the name of the Laboratory, on the field AUTHOR. For location of the book, you will see at the COTA the name of the Laboratory.
3. How do I search for a thesis?
At IGC Library Database, search using "Dissertations, Academic" at the field SUBJECT (Assunto).
4. How do I know which journals we have?
If the journal is online, you can look for it at the IGC Online Reading. If the journal is in print, you can search at the Library Journal Collection.
You can also search in the Library Catalogue, at IGC Library Database, by title, ISSN or if you want know the total of journals, search using "Periodicals" at the field SUBJECT (Assunto).
5. How do I find a journal in a portuguese library?
On the Web, search at the FCT Catalogue.
In the Library, through the print Catalogue of APDIS-Associação Portuguesa de Documentação e Informação da Saúde.
6. How do I request an article that is not available at the library?
This facility is only available for I.G.C. researchers.
Complete the form at the British Library Requisition, that will be sent to the library.
